Flow Forming: Less is more when flow-forming is used to increase the density of the wheel’s material structure. This is achieved by continuously rolling the rim well over a cylinder under high pressure and at a high temperature. The outcome is a wheel that new less material to be more resilient and lighter.

Test Procedure: Before a BBS light alloy wheel goes into serial production, it is subjected to extremely stringent testing. The European Wheel Directive encompasses all of the different test criteria that a modern-day wheel is expected to fulfil. These test criteria are still not enough for us, however, and some of our own standard outstrip the legal requirements in terms of long-term usage and rigidity tenfold.
